Emergency Kit

Make Yours Today!

What is an Emergency Kit?

An emergency kit is a collection of essential items you may need to survive and stay safe during an unexpected crisis—like a natural disaster, power outage, or emergency evacuation. It includes basics like food, water, first-aid supplies, tools, and important documents, all packed and ready to go at a moment’s notice.

You never know when a tsunami, earthquake, or other disasters may strike. Assemble a kit now so that you are ready for the next emergency!

Ready Kit

Hawaii Emergency Management Association (HI-EMA) and the Hawaii Department of Health (DoH) recommended kit contents. It is recommended to have a kit that will last 14 days. A good container for these could be a suitcase or a roller cooler. Read a full list of recommended items on the HDOH website.
