• Description: Campus Safety & Security suggests an annual fire extinguisher training for all university employees. Prior to attending the hands-on training, participants must complete the online training course: Fire Safety and Prevention 2.0.

  Participants need to email proof of completion of the online training to Campus Safety, byuhsafety@byuh.edu, or submit your certificate and apply for hands-on training on this page after completing the online training. Participants will be emailed a certificate once both the online and hands-on training have been completed.

Objectives: As a result of this training, participants will:

• Know the different types of fire extinguishers (A,B,C,D,K) and the types of fires they are used for.
  
• Understand how fire extinguishers operate.
  
• Demonstrate how to extinguish a fire.
